Dad’s Quote of the Day

Two words.  They don’t cost a thing yet they mean so much to people people they are given to.

Life tends  move like a great swell of water.  If you let it, that swell of water can sweep you out to sea.  All you see are waves and you lose sight of the fact that you are surrounded by people.

One of the things your mom has taught me is that life is about people.  That and the gardens.  Ironic because the two have something in common – they both need to be fed.  The flowers need daily watering to survive.  People need to be watered as well – with words.   Safe to say, nobody gets enough recognition for what they do.

There is a prescription for this.  Two little words, administered liberally to those around you – “thank you.”

Words give life, they create and they encourage.

Words are free, so use them!
